The filter pictured is a Samsung brand with replacement cartridge reference DA29-10105J. The filter being supplied is not the Samsung brand, does not have the reference DA29-10105J and is longer and has a bigger diameter than the Samsung filter. Therefore if you are trying to replace the Samsung filter what is supplied will not fit.
I wish I read the previous comment, same happened with me on the same filter. They delivered the wrong one twice and the third was not the Samsung as shown. I was informed that the issue was with Samsung changing the model recently, but the one I recieved that did fit was manufactured in 2006 and not made by Samsung
