This product is a briliant shelf replacement. Most of the new fridge freezers are supplied with either Glass shelves or the moulded Plastic shelves.
The basic concept of the plastic moulded shelves is to eliminate the risk of any liqwids leaking to the lower shelves. The disadvantage IS that after a while the shelves start to crack in ihe middle before completely snapping.
The price to replace them are around £35 EACH shelf. This UNIVERSAL CHROME PLATED ADJUSTABLE EXTENDABLE FRIDGE FREEZER SHELF is a briliant and cheaper replacement alternative.
Perhaps the only dissadvantage is that when FULLY extended there are larger gap at the sides, which MIGHT be a problem for SOME people. but im sure that something could be easily sorted out.

These are great for the fridge but you do need to have a tray or something on top to prevent your food slipping through the wide gaps of the extended edges. I don't think I'd trust them as a spare cooker shelf at all.
